There is no CD or Activation key for this game in Steam. Its license is attached to your Steam account, and then again with your account in Rockstar's Social Club. If the Social Club account is compromised then Rockstar will give you a headache while they attempt to make it appear that they are helping you.

Click into that and you'll see a Red Dead Redemption 2 folder. Just rename it and put an x in front of what it currently says. Edit: It will start the game as if you were playing for the first time. So you can now go back to your folder that you renamed and copy the profile folder.

I switched to a new PC but this time on Windows 11. This game just crashes to desktop after running it for barely 1-2 minutes. No other games have this issue at all.
