There are four primary difficulty settings in Remnant From the Ashes: Normal, Hard, Nightmare, and Apocalypse. Each setting affects the strength and resilience of enemies, the quality of loot drops, and the overall challenge of the game.
The Guardian's Heart is a coveted Key Item in Remnant: From The Ashes that multiple characters demand from the player, and the Guardian this heart belongs to, otherwise known as Ixillis, is the
That’s just how it works. If you get showered by loot, you don’t care about loot. If you have to do some super hard content or grind your ass off to get that one item, you will care about it and remember that drop years later. You can make everything balanced and kinda equal but that takes away excitement. You can choose to restart the campaign by rerolling at the world stone. Doing so will reset the worlds levels so that it will now again be scaled to the weighted average of your current gear. (So Earth will no longer be level 4 in the above example, unless your weighted average is still the same.) Temnyj_Korol. Gorefist and the mushrooms one shot you on Nightmare also. Apocalypse is essentially just a flex difficulty imo. Hard is the "Normal" difficulty, and Nightmare is if you really want to get good at the game quickly. I do like how hard and Nightmare give glowing fragments also (no clue if they do in apocalypse. Never touched the mode yet). 15% extra EXP on hard. 30% extra EXP on nightmare. No effect on loot except maybe higher spawn rate of elite mobs for luminite. Usually not worth the extra time and effort required to kill things. Thanks for the update. So sad that there is no any practical mean to play on higher difficulty, besides this is still Diablo-like game
A useful tip to beat the subject 2923 boss without spoiling it. Basicly I struggled just as many of you to kill the final boss of the dlc, not saying the name due to spoilers but anyway I just wanted to give you guys a simple tip after beating him solo on hard difficulty. The first 2 phases are pretty straight forward, you just need to learn
After spending all night playing this boss, and dying, I have concluded this is a broken fight. First of all, most people immediately quit upon joining you when they see you are at this fight. Second, you can seemingly only do it with the beam loadout. Which means many builds are unable to finish the game. Too F&*$ (*&& HARD!!! I have rerolled 3 times, still can't get past the sewers. I am at the point I dont' even want to play this any more. It's not fun to just die over and over agian because you get overran by mobs. At least make the game scale for solo play. This is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ reduiculous. And anybody who wnats to say get good can

REMNANT From the Ashes HARD Difficulty Full Gameplay Walkthrough / No Commentary 【FULL GAME】4K UHD includes the full story, ending and final boss of the game

Since the game has difficulties settings you shouldn't worry to much. You can also decide the difficulty with your gear score and levels. I never upgraded anything from my armour until 10 hours in. I was one shot to most things. After upgrading I could take 10+ hits and it made the boss I struggled a bit with a cakewalk.
