Still the best Far Cry game. Totally holds up now. FC 3 is an awesome game with an awesome protagonist and an out of the world villain. FC4 has better gameplay and an equally good villain. Ranks slightly lower because of the protagonist not being able to match to the one from FC3. But no one can.
As someone who played Far Cry 5 before Far Cry 3 the graphics and gameplay is immersion breaking at times even though the story is solid. A FC3 graphical remaster would print money for Ubisoft imagine the potential of designing a tropical island for the new consoles and GPUs. 10. [deleted] To preface my review, I pre-ordered Far Cry 6 and played it day one, so I have a good grasp of the game. I also loved 5 (and to an extent, New Dawn). Far Cry 6 ultimately disappointed me. The villain was two dimensional and flat, feeling like a watered down Pagan Min, not being ‘truly’ evil (or charming/charismatic for that matter). FC5 is absolutely worth it at $12.
