The flagship ultra-wide zoom in the Fujinon range is the Fujinon XF 8-16mm f/2.8 R LM WR, but this is a big, heavy and expensive lens that offers a wider maximum aperture but no image stabilization. First, it can easily replace the 35mm f1.4 lens for the majority of the cases. It has excellent image contrast and resolution starting from f2. The fast maximum aperture of f/1.4 makes it incredibly easy to creatively throw the background out of focus, with the nine-blade iris diaphragm achieving some lovely bokeh effects.
The 27mm focal-length is 40.5mm full-frame equivalent, which is barely wide-angle, and is very close to “normal” on Fujifilm X cameras. The maximum aperture is f/2.8, which isn’t particularly fast, and the minimum aperture is f/16. The lens accepts 39mm threaded filters.
